Hospitality Committee
The general work of the Committee is to help create a sense of community by organizing occasions
where friendliness, welcoming, and care of individuals and the Meeting are promoted. Much of the
Hospitality Committee's work assists other committees, often by supplying or arranging for
refreshment and food for a Meeting event or for an individual with special needs. As time, energy or
the needs of the Meeting permit, the committee may also originate events to build community such
as Friendly Sevens.
We are called upon to:
- Help create a welcoming environment for visitors by greeting and welcoming them after Meeting.
- Coordinate potlucks (such as the Sunday after Thanksgiving Meal and the Christmas Event):
- Plan and solicit food, provide beverages, set up, decorate, and clean up.
